Waiting on God’s Guidance

WAITING ON GOD’S GUIDANCE

The sons of Israel went through the midst of the sea on the dry land, and the waters were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. Exodus 14:22

Have you ever felt like you’re stuck between a rock and a hard place? Maybe you’re facing a big decision, and you’re not sure which way to turn. Or perhaps you feel like you’re in a situation that’s too difficult to handle on your own. If you can relate, take heart. You’re not alone. The Israelites in Exodus 14 were in a similar predicament. They had just left Egypt and were wandering in the wilderness, when they found themselves trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army. They were terrified and didn’t know what to do. But God had a plan. He told Moses to raise his staff and stretch out his hand over the sea, and the waters would part. And that’s exactly what happened. The Israelites walked through the parted sea on dry ground, and when Pharaoh’s army pursued them, the waters came crashing back down, destroying the Egyptians.

Now, you might be thinking, “That’s great for the Israelites, but what does it have to do with me?” Well, here’s the thing: God is still in the business of parting seas. He still has a plan for your life, and He still wants to guide you through difficult situations. But here’s the catch: you need to be willing to wait on Him. You need to seek His guidance through prayer, reading the Bible, talking to other believers, and looking at the circumstances around you. When all four of those things are in agreement, you can be confident that God is telling you to move. I know that waiting can be hard. We live in a fast-paced world where we want instant gratification. But sometimes, God asks us to be patient and trust Him. He knows what’s best for us, and He knows the perfect timing for everything.

If you’re facing a big decision or a difficult situation, don’t be afraid to wait on God. He may be preparing to part a sea for you, or He may have another plan entirely. Either way, you can trust that He is with you every step of the way. And who knows? Maybe one day, you’ll look back on this season of waiting and be able to laugh at how worried you were. Just like the Israelites, you’ll be able to say, “Wow, God really came through for me!”

So, keep praying, keep reading, keep talking to other believers, and keep looking at the circumstances around you. And when all four of those things are in agreement, take a step of faith and trust that God is leading you in the right direction.
