Before The Rooster Crows

Peter denied Christ and wept bitterly. In each account of Christ's meeting with the disciples after His resurrection the egotistical disciple is silent. Peter was silent because of his failure. He believed he could no longer serve Christ because of his past. In John chapter twenty-one, we find he has gone back to his old life of fishing. Most of us know the outcome of Peter. But what if I told you Peter's life relates to us as we struggle with our own failures as Christians and the regret that weighs heavy on our souls?
