REFUGE
Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in You.
Psalm 16:1
When we are hurting, it can be easy to feel alone and like no one understands our pain. But the truth is that God sees us and cares for us deeply. He invites us to take refuge in Him, to find safety and security in His love.
When we turn to God in our trials, we can find comfort and reassurance that He is with us every step of the way. He may not take away our pain or make everything better right away, but He promises to walk with us through it all. He is our refuge, our safe haven in the midst of life’s storms.
The psalmist recognized this truth and cried out to God for help. He knew that God alone could preserve him and keep him safe. In the same way, we can turn to God and trust Him to take care of us, even in the midst of our pain.
It’s important to remember that taking refuge in God doesn’t mean that we won’t experience suffering or difficulties. But it does mean that we can have hope and peace, knowing that God is in control and that He loves us deeply. We can find strength in Him to face each day and to trust Him with our future.
So, if you’re hurting today, take comfort in knowing that God is your refuge. He sees you, cares for you, and promises to always be with you. Cry out to Him for help and find your rest in Him. Trust in His love and faithfulness and know He will preserve and keep you safe. May you experience His peace and His presence in your life today and always.
